Poaching is still a problem today, but is still being fought. The job of Game Wardens ( hopefully my future job) is to protect animals and to stop and catch poachers. The punishment for poaching today have increased from the past which use to be a slap on the wrist. Today Game Wardens can confiscate all equipment used doing the event of the poaching, a huge fine, lose of hunting license, and also jail time. They can take your weapon used for poaching, truck, the animal killed, search your house, and other equipment used. And you may never be able to hunt again. In the past they might just give you a fine and maybe lose your license for a year depending on the severity of the crime. Poaching has little benefits now because how much is done to stop it.
Question I don't know much about hunting so I wanted to know what is poaching?
ReplyDeletePoaching is the illegal hunting of animals especially game animals. Certain animals have hunting seasons and bag limit that you have to go by. If you don't follows those regulars or hunt animals that aren't allowed to be hunted you are poaching and poaching is now heavily regulated.
DeleteI do not know anything about hunting but I have heard that a lot of people do hunt other animals they're not allowed to and take more than they're suppose to. And like you said its wrong, and illegal to do so.
