Is Hunting Bad
Many people say hunting is bad and should be allowed to happen. I do see the side of the anti-hunter people because when hunters hunt you are kill a living being which can give the wrong ideas to some people. Many say hunters are cruel and are cold hearted people that just shoot whatever comes their way. And some of the reasons for this are because some hunter represent themselves as a hunter in the incorrect way. So harvest their game animal and then go into town and show it off to everyone and having blood everywhere making look like a murder scene. This is what gives hunting a bad name and also why hunters education is now required to buy a hunting license to hunt. This help educate new hunter and the older one how give a face for hunting so people can see the true side of hunting. I have met many hunters in my life time many are humble people and are vey nice, but the just a passion for hunting does that make them bad people. Hunting shouldn't make anyone a bad person unless they are doing it wrong. People need to give hunters a chance and get to know us before judge us and saying heartless people. Us hunters are actually very nice people, but we just have a passion for hunting just like many people have a passion for other things.
Gear for Hunting
Using the right equipment for every hunting is very important for a successful hunt. You have to know the game you are going after and where you will be hunting. Also, you have to know what you will be having to during the hunt. The most important part of the gear is the rifle or firearm that you will use to harvest the game. If you are going after large game like elk and moose you will need a large caliber rifle, but if you are hunting coyotes or rabbits you will just need a small caliber rifle or shotgun. Other important gear is the includes stuff like a backpack and also a scope. The backpack can help with bring the animal back to camp or just bring more stuff you need on the hunt. The scope is also very important because it is helps in making the precise shot that is needed to harvest in the best way possible. Without the scope it is hard to make sure you are hitting the vitals of the animals you are shooting at. Also, helps with identifying if it is the correct animal or is legal to shoot. There is a lot of hunting gear out there but all you need are those few pieces of gear to get started the correct way.

Is Hunting for Everyone
Hunt is a excellant sport or hobby to have because it has a lot of benefits. But hunting is not forever one because of the requirements it has. You have to be able to hunt and kill an animal and not just any animal. You have to find the correct animal and sometimes the means walking through thick brush to find the animals. You also, have to have the heart to pull the trigger on the animal you are hunting which is sometimes the hardest part of hunting for some people. I have hunted for years and it is not always the same feeling when shooting different animals. When I shot my buck last year it was a feeling of excitement but not as much as my first buck. But when I shot my first animal it was hard cause you know you are taking a life, but this is why you have to respect the animal. And with shooting an animal you also need to know shot placement which is knowing where is the best spots to shot an animal in any situation. Not every shot is not going to be the same which means you need to know were the vitals of every animal you hunt and how to make a perfect shot to hit those vital. Because if you don't hit vitals you will wound the animal which makes it a harder hunt. I have been on a hunt were a hunter hit a animal and didn't hit vitals and we had to track the animal down and put it down properly. Hunting requires a lot from a hunter it isn't just going out and shooting animals there is some education and physical required in it.
Hunting Migrant Birds
Many hunters say hunting migrant birds isn't the easiest. Those big birds such as geese and duck don't come down easily. And with the limit of only three shells in the shotgun makes it even more challenging. Many suggest that the allow for more shells allowed in the shotgun to hunt migrant birds. But others say it would be against fair chase and also the ethics of hunting. Animals have to have a fair chance to get away from the hunter just and with only three shells in the shotgun it helps give them fair chase. Also, the ethics for hunting you shouldn't just try to kill every animal you come against. Many say in the ethics if you can't the birds within three shells you should shot at it again. This ethic was also taught to me in hunter education.
Many people still rather have more shells in their shotgun so they usually take out their plugs in their shotgun. The plugs of a shotgun help limit the gun to only take 2 in the magazine tube and one in the chamber. But this make the gun illegal to use to hunt migrant birds and it comes with a fine if caught by a Game Warden. I have also heard of people having one shell in their hand and once they are out off shells in the gun they put it in quickly which this is legal but not ethical. It all comes down to ethics so I don't think having more shells in the shotgun should be allowed.

Should Endangered Species be Hunted
Black rhinos are a endangered species and are being conserved in Africa. Rhinos are being poached for there horns which are used in some countries and are highly valued. Black rhinos are still hunted by trophy hunters in Africa which pay thousands to hunt them. One hunter from Texas bill $350,000 to go hunt black rhino in Africa. That money payed thought is used to help pay for the conservation of the black rhino. The money pay for ranger that protect the rhino and also for place that take care of the black rhinos. And the rhino that are killed are rhinos that are killing other rhinos or rhinos that are old and can't reproduce anymore. The animals that are harvested are studied to make sure that they are not harvesting animals that can help the herd grow. Without hunters helping in the conservation efforts many of the endangered animals still being hunted wouldn't be doing as successful if hunter weren't their to help. So hunting of endangered animals isn't bad as long as it is regulated and studied carefully so that the herd is not effected in a bad way when the animals are being harvested. Also, the animals harvested aren't left there to rot the whole animal is used. Usually the meat is given to the local tribes and native people that have little food so many people benefit from the hunting of the animals including endangered animals.
Can Trophy Hunting help with Conservation
Trophy hunting has a bad name for itself when it comes to society today. There is a lot of controversy around the topic of trophy hunting. Trophy is not a bad thing because it is also used as a conservation tool to help manage animal species in places like Africa. In Africa many trophy hunters pay big money to go hunt big game such as lion, elements, hippos, and cape buffalo. But many people think they just go and shoot whatever animal they want and just take the horn, tusk, or heads and let the rest rot there. But in reality trophy hunters can hunt only animals that the government allows them to hunt which is usually problem animals. Usually they harvest animals that kill their own or are older and need to be put down. And the money they pay to go on the hunt most oft goes back to helping to conserve the animals they hunt. Without the trophy hunters paying for hunts they wouldn't have much money to pay for conservation efforts. Trophy hunter pay millions a year to go hunt animals in Africa which helps pay for protection over animals like black rhino which are in danger. trophy hunters are a big tool in conservation and need to help keep animals be conserved.

Do you think there is enough being done about poaching
Poaching is still a problem today, but is still being fought. The job of Game Wardens ( hopefully my future job) is to protect animals and to stop and catch poachers. The punishment for poaching today have increased from the past which use to be a slap on the wrist. Today Game Wardens can confiscate all equipment used doing the event of the poaching, a huge fine, lose of hunting license, and also jail time. They can take your weapon used for poaching, truck, the animal killed, search your house, and other equipment used. And you may never be able to hunt again. In the past they might just give you a fine and maybe lose your license for a year depending on the severity of the crime. Poaching has little benefits now because how much is done to stop it.
Should private hunting ranches be self-regulated
Hunting ranches such as King Ranch which is the biggest hunting ranch in Texas and one of the biggest I the nation. Should the be able to regulate their game animals as the please, or should they still have to follow government regulations. I would think if they were allowed to self regulate because they can have a scientist that helps with the information to regulate their animals. The government uses the average of all game animal populations to make regulations on game animals every year, and they change with what the information they get. But the hunting ranches can get better information on their ranch themselves and regulate their animals better. I think it should be a option to hunting ranches, but hey will have to pay for all the needed scientist and materials to get the information to self regulate.

Should there be age limits for hunting
Should there be a age limit for hunting. In my opinion there shouldn't be a age limit to hunting. Since, I was a small boy I grew up around hunting and have learned a lot from it. You learn the importance of life and to have respect for all living things. You learn that all life is important and should be treated with respect. You learn that you are taking a life for food and you have more respect for animals. I have learned the ethics of hunting which is what every hunter has to learn with experience. Hunting teaches the youth important lessons for life and they are unique to hunting. So for these reasons hunting shouldn't have an age limit.

Thoughts on exotic species
Should exotic species be allowed to be brought to the U.S. just to be used for more expensive hunts. Here in Texas the nilgai is a example of this. The King Ranch brought these exotic species from India so they can have more animals to shot and more expensive hunts. exotic species hunts tend to be more expensive if the animal is rare to the area. Since King Ranch brought the nilgai were brought onto the King Ranch some escaped and now have over populated the area. They are now not as rare to see , but they do cause problems like breaking fences, bringing ticks, and other costly problems. So do you think exotic animals should be allowed to be brought with little research or control over them.
